Not many people here seem to get their questions answered by a doctor. Mine haven't been. Usually you just get someone who knows something about the subject, often by their own experiences, to try to help. We all try to assist each other where we can. Sadly, some questions never get answered by anyone.

Welsome to the forum-I am sorry if you have not had a post answered..Many of us are on forum and try to answer or direct in areas we know about..

When your question is strictly for a doctor:it is important when a question is directed at a doctor that you go under the doctors area and on subject line say doctor need help with__________..Hopefully your questions will be answered more quickly..

If we can help in anyway please give us another try..It also depends on the way a post is made--HELP I am in pain --draws more quick attention for an immedicate need
than say have a question about hurting..It is true there are questions out there that never get answered..One day I spent two hours going intothe system and answereing unanswered posts..Some posts though are months to years old..Some posts I have seen are doubled by smae person so it may look like there are more than there are..kd

Community Forums vs. Ask a Doctor
Please understand that there is a difference between the community forums and the Ask a Doctor forums. Here’s a brief overview:

***********
Ask a Doctor

How do I Ask a Doctor a medical question?
Simple. Find the forum most related to your question and click on a topic that interests you. You will find the Ask Doctor link at the top right of the page. Click on the Ask a Doctor photo and complete the full questionnaire to ask your question. Or, access the Ask a Doctor feature via the Ask a Doctor Forums: http://ehealthforum.com/health/ask_a_docto r_forums.html. You must be a registered user to use this feature.

***********
Community Forums

How do I ask other members a medical question?
To start a new topic, open the health forum most relevant to your topic and click on the new topic button, located on the top and bottom of the page. Type and submit your topic to the forum. Spend a little time thinking about a descriptive title for your topic that can help others looking for similar information. Use specific words in your topic titles rather than generalized terms. Descriptive and relevant titles will help you to get the most accurate answers and the fastest responses by other users. Be advised that non-specific topics may be deleted/edited/changed by the board administrator.

***********

Thanks again for your understanding. We hope to help you answer your medical questions. Please let me know if there's any way that I can help you. I am a real person and actually reply to messages.

Best,
Lee @ Admin

hello lisajoanne is correct. To have a question answered by a doctor you must click on ask a doctor on top right corner of you screen.
we do try our best to answer as many people as we can through advise of our own experiences but some questions do need to be answered by your own doctor.Ive seen many unanswered posts but i can,t reply because i am not familiar with their problem or illness.
i agree again with lisajoanne we do all try to assist each other and here to support and advise you the best way we can..sometimes doctors do frequent the forum but generally answer questions of which is their field and again can only advise as they can,t examine you as your own family doctor can..as we are always told together we make good medicine.
