Do you become steril immediately after taking gardisil? If you detoxify your body soon enough will this prevent infertility?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Gardisil is a vaccination given to prevent infection with Human Papilloma Virus (to prevent occurrence of genital warts and cervical/vaginal cancer). The protection starts after you complete the entire course. It does not make you infertile. You can resume sexual activities after taking the complete course (3 doses to be taken at scheduled time) Visit your doctor/gynecologist for further clarification and assistance. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately.
