I had the depo shot in august and had to go for my second at that start of November but me &. My fiancé decided to start trying for a baby so I didn't go a week after my canceled appointment I came on my periods and did as normal ( although was irregular varied every month but never missed a month just as it was before the depo shot) but its been nearly five months trying to conceive and I've read that it can take months to become fertile again, but I've had my periods and I have Had my cervical mucus and that I never taken any OPK's, but my question is if you receieve your periods and CM does that mean that there is a high chance you are fertile?

Getting Pregnant Answer A34444
Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
After you get off your Depo shot, your fertility can return back within next few months (sometimes it can take about 1 year’s time). If you are having regular periods, it would suggest that you are having periodic and regular ovulation. If you have been trying for pregnancy, monitor cervical mucus changes and the BBT (basal body temperature) charting to predict your ovulation and time your intercourse for having fruitful results. Have intercourse in positions that allow for deeper penetration for high deposit of semen. Have diet with foods rich in zinc content to ensure better maturation of egg and sperms. Visit your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation and assistance if you are not successful in getting pregnant within 6 months to 1 years of trying. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest.
Take care.
