I've always had painful periods that were heavy and lasted for many days but it seems they've been getting worse. I've been getting recurring UTI's and yeast infections the last 6 months. Everytime during ovulation, I have a day or two of pain, though it is nowhere near as severe as the pain I'm feeling on my period. When I'm on my period, it feels like regular cramps at first but then it seems to turn into a different kind of pain. It feels more like a sore, digging feeling that is more of a constant pain for the first 4 days of my period. It doesn't let up or come in wave-like contractions, which is how it feels with my regular cramps. It's very tender so I cannot lay certain ways and sometimes I have to walk leaned over. What felt the oddest to me was that when I urinate, the pain would become much much worse. I found it hard to empty my bladder all the way because of the pain. I'm finding some blood clotting too. Today, I've tried several different things to help with the pain such as:
-putting heat on the area
-drinking 2 or 3 cups of ginger tea, one of them I tried with brown sugar as I've heard that helps
-taking magnesium, potassium, calcium, and vitamin b12
-taking aleve throughout the day
-being active
-being inactive
-stretching out my stomach
-laying in certain positions (with legs opened, laying on stomach, etc)
-drinking extra water
-allowing myself some time to de-stress
-eating balanced meals

And so far, I still have this pain. I've found nothing to help it. The regular cramps are gone but this sore, knifey kind of feeling never lets up.
I'm hoping someone could help me to understand if this is normal or if it sounds like Endometriosis.

It could be endometriosis. Do you have pain even when your not on your period? Before I had my hysterectomy I had pain all the time. I would have irregular periods too. I would go 6 months without having a period then have one that would last 2 weeks or more.

No, I only have pain during ovulation and my period. And I've always had extremely regular periods. The pain while urinating on my period is pretty strong and that's my biggest indicator that something is off because no one seems to know what I'm talking about..this clenching feeling of pain.
