This happens every time I gain a little weight and start to loose but this time it was worse.
I am 35 and in fairly good shape. I run/jog 5 miles in @ 45 minutes. I weigh about 122 lbs and that's a little high for me. I usually run between 110 and 115. So, I have started back up on my work outs/ I never completely stopped but I have increased them from once or twice a week to 4X a week in the past 6 weeks. Usually I go through a short burst of hormonal stuff that I attribute to my thyroid adjusting my matabolism and I get my period late.
This last time my body seemed to go into complete shock and I had my period really light for 2 weeks and then it came full fledged in the third week. I am going through severe dizzy spells that last for a long time (particularly when I experience anxiety like today after a job interview)sometimes accompanied by migranes (the dizziness and migranes are not always associated with anxiety). I am having difficulty taking off the weight and controlling my appetite and it makes me not want to work out at all but I do.
The last time I expreienced anything close to this was the last time I let myself get this heavy..I started working out and after about 3 weeks I hit 118 amd went through this. It happened again at 115 and then again at 113 (this is where my weight remained for 2.5 years).
Recently, I went through a period of stress and gained weight and I'm now ready to get back into good condition but it's like my body is fighting against me in a bad way...what is happening and what can I do?? I know I need to give weight loss time but 6 weeks at this level should produce changes and not the ones I just described...I also take prenatals, calcium, mag, zinc and omega-3's.
Please help I want to feel better..if there is anything I can take or do please tell me.
last year I had work ups for thyroid, diabetes and iron deficiencies (which was why I started the prenatals). All tests turned up normal but the iron.
