I was laying on my bed working some crosswords and I had my head tilted to the left, the side that my TMJ is worse in. Anyway after a few minutes my head started to feel weird and the back of my neck started to feel like it was pulsing or beating like a heartbeat. Then I started to get dizzy and disoriented and I couldn't get my eyes to focus they weren't blurry it just was like I couldn't get them to focus in on anything. This whole incident lasted around 10 minutes although it seemed like an eternity and afterwards my jaw started hurting from the TMJ. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this was or what caused it as it was a very frightening experience. Also I should mention that the upper part of my jawbone on the left side protudes quite a bit more than the right side of my jaw I didn't know if this had anything to do with it or not. Crying or Very sad

well Yes. keep your head as upright as possible. aparently you threw something out by holding your head this way. put some ice on it and take some antiinflamitories. watch your posture. dont support your head my putting your hand on your chin either--that doesnt hel p at all. do you see a chiropractor? i think now would be a good time to go see one:)
