I have had a chest cold for about 3 weeks now, it's just going away. I have not had a fever. I took antibiotics, but they didn't help. Over the last week or maybe more, I've been feeling very dizzy, especially when I gt up too fast or have to bend down for something.

Also, when I went to the gym last week, I noticed that my heart rate was at 180, which is unusually high for me working out. My dr. said it probably has to do with the chest cold, so I didn't worry, but now I have all this dizziness and it's making me nervous.

In addition, I'm supposed to have surgery on thursday and I'm really nervous they won't let me do it.

Is the dizziness part of the chest cold or could it be something else?
