Just last year sometime before I got pregnant with my first child I begain to get these horrible migraines almost every other day or even everyday. But they weren't like any migraine I've ever had before. The symptoms that accompanied it were dizziness just while sitting down, these "spasms" in my eyes where they almost shake from side to side very quickly, throbbing pain, pressure like my head is going to "explode," and the most recent symptom; clicking or popping noise in the back of my head when I lay down.

I've told my primary doctor about these symptoms and she treats me like a unimportant patient and just keeps giving me prescription after prescription none of which seem to work some of them only make me very sick. Please help me to know what this could be. And yes I do plan to hopefully find a new doctor soon.

I have a 4 month old baby I have to take care of on my own as my husband is in the Army and is gone in the field for weeks at a time and I can't funtion properly with these pains.

Some test I've had done:
CT scan which the doctor said came back normal
Blood test to check my tyroid which she said could cause migraines, also came back normal.
Blood test to check for anemia. Came back normal as well as far as I know.

I will be grateful for any advice.

Thank you

JLH

So Im guessing the ct scan did not pick up on any sinus issues? Allergy issues can cause pain in pressure in the head. Popping of the ear could be TMJ or another symptom of sinus. Talk to a doctor about taking Zyrtec-D to see if it helps with the pain and pressure. ITs the only thing that helps me but if you have diabeties or high blood pressure, its not safe to take it. If you dont get any more help from the doc... Go see a Ear, nose and throat Specialist and bring your CT Scans. I assume the CT scan is of your head?

Yes it was of my head. Uhh she didn't even give me a copy of it but next time I set up and appointment I will be sure to get one. No I don't have high blood pressure or diabeties. Thank you though I will surely bring up these things to my next doctor as I will be getting a new one.
