I have both diver/IBS and wonder if these illnesses could have contributed to my weight gain? I have gained 60lbs. in 5 years. I have been working hard to get back to a normal size. I eat lots of fruit, mushrooms, veggies too. I watch my fat intake cholesterol too. I also drink lots of water and take ginseng/ginko bilbo too. I take potassium and a script water pill. I take a coated 81mg asprin as well. would any of these pills help or irritate my illnesses even more. Also do you have any suggestions on losing more weight? I still eat some pecans with yogurt in the evening. I eat fat free milk on my cereal and low fat and low sugar cereals. I walk an hour a day for exercise.

I have IBS too so I know how frustrating it is. It sounds like your doing all the right things and eating the right foods. As for the weight gain I don't think it's the IBS or the diver but possibly the script water pill. Water pills can put weight on you. I also know that too much postassium can cause constipation and make the symptoms of IBS worse. Aspirin is not good for you to take every day either. It can actually eat away at your stomach if too much is taken.
