I have been dx'd with diverticulosis like so many people over 40. I had a flare up of diverticulitis (infection) about two months ago. The pain was excruciating. At first the pain subsided with a course of antibiotics. Now I've got that pinching, achy feeling in my lower left side again. Is this something that I just have to learn to live with? It it normal for the pain to come and go without consequence? My doctor said I will probably have to have that section removed if it become infected again. Anyone have this done?
