I have 3 choices medication, internal stimulator. or fusion. The external stimulator is not helping at all. I am leaning towards the fusion. What would your suggestion be. People I know that have had the internal stimulator are not at all happy. They say the pain is worse now.

Back Pain Answer A4332
Diagnosis that has been suggested: sciatica, bulging discs,DJD
Current medical status: MRI, disectomy with no results
Current medical treatment: Vicodin ES 1tab q 4hrs. for pain external stimulator

Every type of therapy has its own advantages and disadvantages. Every case is specific and the same treatment doesn’t have equal efficiency in all cases with a similar disk disorder.

You should consult an orthopedist or neurosurgeon about this.
