This isn't really a pain, it's more of a discomfort. It's been on and off for the last few years. I don't know what it is, I DID go to a few different doctors last year to see what it is, but they didnt find anything after doing various tests and taking various pictures, etc...

The area affected is right above my belly button, on the right side. Apendix tightening up maybe ??

For the last few months I've felt the discomfort and it's gotten to where I feel it constantly now, as if it's getting worse. I can better describe as being a tightness feeling inside the right side of my lower abdominal. I cannot lie down flat on my back with my legs straight without this beginning to tigthen up to the point where it feels like something will burst inside of me.

A lot of sleeping positions don't suit me anymore because it starts tightening up on the inside, I feel very soon it's going to turn into pain.

what could this possible be ? and what type of tests should I ask my doctor to perform to verify what this is ? thank you

If this discomfort is above your belly button at the right abdomen, it is a good idea to get checked for your liver.

most likely appendictis or another intestinal disorder
hi

ask for a CT scan to rule out whether it is the appendix or not. Thats what I got done, and they found that i needed my appendix removed. Mine never got to a point where it really hurt, just a mild discomfort. But it seemed like whatever position i slept in didnt help the pain. an ultra sound may able to show if there is fluid accumulation in your colon or whether there is an obstruction and also good to look at the kidneys to see if there is a kidney stone, or if they are inflamed. Hope this helps, Good luck
