Hi, im 18 years old and i play in a football academy. Just over a year ago, i injured my knee whilst playing a game. After an MRI scan, i was diagnosed with a torn meniscus cartilage. It was also found that i have a discoid cartilage. I had keeyhole surgery within 2 days of the injury and the operation was successful. After 6 months of steady rehabilitation i started to train and play again. Nearly a year on i still get problems with my knee. Although it doesn't hurt when i play, after exercise my knee swells up and i have to ice it to make it ready for the next exercise and to regain full range of motion. I wondered if there's anything i can do to stop this swelling and if this problem will ever go away?

Many thanks
