A non menstrual bleeding or spotting could be caused by the womens hormones (high or low level), by an injury of the mucous membrane of the uterus, by cysts and after having birth control pills for a long time (this is also related to the hormones). The treatement of all above mentioned is not hard nither takes too much time so do not hesitate to consult your doctor.
