Q: Disc replacement after a 3 level cervical fusion

Is it possible to have disc replacement after C4-C7 have been fused? C3 is now ruptured and one dr. said it needs to be done (orthopedic spine specialist), but a neurosurgeon I saw doesn't know if it will work and thinks another fusion is the only option. He wants me to go to yet another neurosurgeon who specializes in complex cases like this.
Any thoughts?
