Hi there. I am a 30 yr old female and since March I have been having a wide range of health issues that have narrowed down to a digestive problem, speckled with reoccuring bladder and yeast infections.

My stools are mostly water, with small soft peices that do not stick together, or mucus-like. Sometimes there is abdominal pain, and often there is a feeling of being bloated and excessive gas builds up.

Also, I occasionally experience intense heart burn. As a matter of fact it woke me up last night from sleep.

I have played with my diet, I have quite taking all vitamins, and then tried some new ones. Aloe Vera juice daily, bentonite clay daily....cut out dairy, cut out frains, cut our fruits, cut out veggies, cut out coffees, even water is too harsh sometimes.
Been teseted for bacterial infections, Crohns, and Celiac disease.

I have never had any issues like this with my health ever!
Also, since March I have gained at least 30 lbs. 10 of which have been in the past 2 weeks. And I have been the same weight for at least the past 8 yrs, and work out moderatly but regularly.

Is there anyone out there who can advise me on these symptoms or help? I can't afford to keep up with the meds anymore and I'm pretty sure accupuncture won't cure me! lol

I'd appreciate it so very much.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to render a specific diagnosis over the Internet, and other than very general suggestions, I cannot make any specific therapeutic recommendations for people who are not my patients.

It does appear that you have undergone a rather thorough evalaution, and I suspect that you are likely to be given the "diagnosis of exclusion" of irritable bowel syndrome. (I am hoping that you have undergone colonoscopy already, as well, to rule-out polyps or colorectal cancer.)

You might try adding additional fiber supplements to your diet (e.g., Citrucel, Benefiber or Metamucil, two or there times a day), and see if this helps. Also, try keeping a food diary, and see if any particular foods appear to exacerbate your symptoms.

Best of luck!

Sincerely/ Robert A. Wascher, MD, FACS
