I am experiencing a difficulty breathing problem at times, seemingly from my very upper nostril area or in an area where that area meets the back of my mouth or top of my throat. I have had a septum surgery, but it really only did minimal good. Its still something wrong up in there, anyone have suggestions ? Is there any type of xrays that can detect this issue ?

You can request ENT-examination (anterior and back rhinoiscopy) to check if there is something there in the upper throat (nasopharynx) like polyp for example.
X-ray can reveal nasal septum deviation or some other bone disorders (fractures, bone tumors...) on the facial skeleton but some soft tissue disorders like infections, polyps etc. is found more difficult to diagnose.

Ok Thanks, you do understand I have already had deviated septum surgery and removal of polyops, but this examination you are suggesting, this is different right ?

Anterior and back rhinoscopy are standard ENT-procedures for visualization of the nasal cavity and upper pharynx. These are standard and not very complicated procedures.
Deviated nasal septum probably caused chronic inflammation of the sinuses and nasal cavity. From the other hand, chronic inflammation can cause creation of nasal polyps.
You might have a new polyp.

More revealing than what?
If the polyp is not hidden in some sinus it can be seen with rhinoscopy.

Nose flaccidity/breathing issue/eye symptom after surgery.
Good luck, beloved57. I hope that they locate the problem, and that some answers come your way very soon.

I also have had problems since my septoplasty, turbinate and polyp removal.
I had my surgery a year and a half ago. Since then, new symptoms have occured..hopefully someone could shed some light on what may be wrong.

On the right side of my face, I feel a distinct "pressure" in the area at the top of my nose bridge, and the inside of my right upper-lower eyelid(the part that connects the eyelids and the nose). When blinking, my right eye doesn't close quite "in sync" with my left eye, now...and I also have difficulty breathing through my right nostril.

When I place my thumb and forefinger gently on either side of my nose bridge, my eyes "connect" back in place, and I can breathe temporarily through the right side of my nose. I also feel like my "eye is getting air" too, if that makes sense. But when take my fingers off of my nose, almost instantly, the symptoms re-appear and that area feels blocked.

I followed up with my ENT after surgery and let him know that I was still having problems breathing through my nose, but at that time, I hadn't been able to specify anything else(I didn't mention the eye thing). All he could tell me was that the septum was now straight, and the surgery was (other than the symptoms i'm experiencing) a success. I'm glad to hear it was a success, but now here I am a year and a half later, still experiencing the same "new" symptoms I had first experienced immediately post-surgery .

Do the symptoms i'm experiencing sound familiar(knowledge wise, experience wise, etc) to anyone? Thanks for your time! I'd like to find out what I can suggest to my family doctor...possibly some scans to locate the issue.

I will add that just for the record, it feels like some soft of "soft-tissue" issue....like my nose isn't connecting to my face the way it should. The nose itself is now very flaccid on the right side. And my vision is being effected on my right side, obviously. So would it be worth my time to see an eye doctor (ophthamologist)about that, or would a surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty be able to better identify an issue if indeed the soft tissue has been damaged to some degree around the bridge of nose/eye area?

I think i have a deviated septum
Football accident two weeks basck, took a shoulder to the nose, heard distinct crack followed by minimal bleeding and virtually no swelling. Felt Pressure of an od kind beneath the bridge bone ( No idea what thats called) and along with dull pain when touched I fear the sepptum has impinged upon my right nostril somehow ( although its hard to tell with a cold), Its been a while and i'm convinced the right nostril is damaged somehow - going to try and geta referal from a GP but not sure what to expect , afraid of being told its probably nothing, anyhow I hope an Xray will shed light on this. What can be done to fix such an injury?

P.S. God has nothing to do with this.
