hi everyone i have had chronic pancreatitis for many many years, so far so good. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what foods to avoid and what foods are good to eat. I do have a general idea. thanks
Small low-fat meals several times a day usually works best. I avoid all pork, most meats. If I feel I really have to eat meat, I make sure it is lean chicken or fish. Other high fat foods like pecan pie are to be avoided by me. (Had a particularly bad flare up after eating pecan pie. I'm sure there are worst things but this one sticks in my mind.) You should also not drink alcohol or smoke. Carbs are usually good but still, small amounts at a time. Fruits & veggies! Cereal with soy milk. Beans for protein.
