Menstruation Answer A26563
Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The bleeding that you experienced after fingering could have been due to hymen rupture and precipitation of periods. If there was semen or pre-cum on the fingers, it might lead to pregnancy. If your periods have been regular before then consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation to look for the underlying cause. If pregnancy is suspected, look out for development of any new symptoms. Sometimes periods can also be delayed due to stress, changes in lifestyle, hormonal changes, etc for 5-10 days which is considered to be normal variation. Wait and watch for your periods. If you do not get your periods within 10 days of expected period dates, or if you get abnormal periods, or if you develop symptoms suggestive of pregnancy, you should consider visiting your gynecologist for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet.
Take care.
