Sometimes I can have a reaction to certain foods that cause flashes of circles of lights in my eyes. What causes this?
Last time it was raw vegetables, this is the second time and it was after eating chicken.

Look into ocular migraines. These can be brought on by reactions to foods and other substances. They're often painless (mine were) and cause silvery light streaks in the vision. They only affect one eye, but I didn't find that closing one eye stopped the effect. A pain if you're trying to read, and a hazard if you're driving. Mine lasted about fifteen minutes.
