Q: Diagnosing lumps as skin gland cysts
asked by: DoctorQuestion on January 19th, 2009
I have a lump on the top of my butt, my tail bone, its not under the skin. Sometimes it really hurts when i sit and i squeezed it because i thought it was an ingrown hair and puss and blood came out. It goes away sometimes and comes right back??? I'm very concerned about it.
Also, now i have a lump under my right armpit. It's under the skin it feels like two. Its hard and it hurts. I can not lift my arm up too high with out it hurting. What are all these lumps?? Please help me!!

According top the symptoms you reported, both lumps might actually be cysts originating from inflamed skin glands. The lumps are not connected. There is also a possibility that the lump in the armpit is metastasis from a tumor from another organ or an inflamed lymph node due to inflection in the surrounding tissue. You might want to visit your doctor to exclude the last diagnosis and take adequate medications.
