Q: Diagnosed with trichomonas
asked by: DoctorQuestion on April 21st, 2009
i was diagnosed with trichomonas, the doctor took a sample from my vagina and looked at it under a microscope and told me it was an std and that it was trichomona she asked how many sex partners ive had and i told her just my husband, so she told me that probably my husband had been with somebody else. so i asked him and he says he has not been with nobody else since june 2006 he alse had tests done on september of 2008 and everything came back negative, hiv 1/2 test, herpes 1/2, chlamydia and gonorrhea, he went to his doctor and told her what had happened he says he has not been with nobody but me since 2006 and that he didnt have nothing on 2008 because his doctor told him that he was fine and that if hes got it is because i have been with somebody else , but i swear that i have not been with nobody but him, and the question is that if he didnt have sex with somebody else and i didnt so how do i have it? and his doctor is testing him again for everything again.

It's possible that cases of trichomonas can be transmitted by means other than sexual intercourse. Trichomonas is a sexually transmitted disease which is transmitted through unprotected sexual intercourse, although transmission through other routes such as dirty towels and wash cloths has been documented.
