Diagnosed with TMJ but I am convinced it's a brain tumor

Recently I was diagnosed with TMJ, but my symptoms have recently gotten so severe and debilitating, I am convinced it is a brain tumor. I was hoping to see if TMJ sufferers have similar symptoms as I do because mine seem to go beyond the most commonly mentioned TMJ symptoms. My symptoms include:

Most Debilitating:
- Severe heading on the right side of my head around my temple region
- Dizziness
- Nausea
* These symptoms seem to be most severe in the morning and afternoon and then decrease in severity by the evening.

Bothersome symptoms:
- Right ear fullness/stuffiness
- Pressure behind the right eye
- Mental confusion or brain fog
- Popping of my jaw on the right side

I almost headed to the ER this morning because I was feeling so horrible and was convinced I had a brain tumor. I talked myself off the ledge and didn't go, but I am still very worried. I have two young children and have always been a very fit and active person, so I just hate not feeling like myself and am so scared that something life-threatening is wrong with me. I guess I am just looking for some feedback from other TMJ sufferers. I am wondering if I should push the issue and get a CT or MRI to rule out the brain tumor or just pursue treatment for TMJ to see if it works. I have been wearing a bite guard (purchased at Walgreens) at night per the advice of the ENT who diagnosed me, but not doing anything else for treatment yet. Thanks for the feedback!

Best to be safe and have peace of mind
I would say to do both. I think its always best to be sure nothing more serious is going on. Your symptoms match many of what I experience with my TMD. I don't get nausea or dizziness but I do get double vision sometimes from it. I think it is because of the slight shifting of my facial bones and muscle. I get this in the morning and/or when I am squeezing my eyes too tight and probably tensing my jaw muscles. I also do get headaches and mental confusion/fog, but that comes from my food allergies (when I cheat) or chemical and perfume smells. Maybe some other things to consider AFTER ruling out a brain tumor.

Also, that bite guard from Walgreens might be aggravating the situation with the TMD. I think those are more geared for the treatment of bruxism. I tried them before going for TMJ treatment but they made my situation much worse.
