A few years ago, I began experiencing bouts of dizziness and vertigo. After going to my GP, they referred me to an ENT. The ENT ran extensive tests, balance tests, inner ear tests etc. Nothing could be found. They decided to run an MRI. It turned out I had multiple lesions on my brain and spine. Since this is indicative of MS, I was referred to a neurologist. He also ran several tests. He did not do a spinal tap. I asked him straight out if I could possibly be diagnosed at my age with MS. he kind of evaded the question, and then asked me to come back in six months. I didn't. The vertigo continued off and on for a while, then stopped about two months ago. A couple of weeks ago, I began having the vertigo, accompanied by double vision. I plan to see my GP (a new one) in about a week. Am I too old to be diagnosed with MS?

No, you are not too old to be dx with MS. It has no age limit.

I'd seek a 2nd opinion with another neurologist who specializes in MS
