In 2004, I was seen at the emergency room with an unknown illness and, I was feeling so sick I thought I was dieing.
Last Winter 2009, I was once more in the emergency room three more times this time they did all sort of test with blood urine, and stool. Each time, the doctor would ask how I was treating my Hypoglycemia and Diabetes. I did not know what to think since I had sudden lost 77 pounds practically overnight it seems. (Un-ententional weight loss) My question is how can I have diabetes with being only 123 lbs and no muscle tone or meat on my body? I can see the Hypoglycemia but, surely not diabetes as they say. How can you have diabete with a BMI 18 and 123 lbs and only 5 feet 11 inches tall?

I forgot to mention this little thing. Ketones were found in my urine tests over a number of weeks about 10 differe times taken over a few days apart. And, they were found in my cbc blood test as well as other tests.

When the body stops producing insulin it uses your fat to break down sugar. This causes protein in your kidneys aka amino acids - those are the Ketones that you found. So the fat was burned. That's why you are under weight.

It sounds like you have Type One Diabetes. Type Two diabetes is common in people who have obesity.

Hope this helps!
