Q: diabetic vomiting and blood sugar levels

I can't eat much today and I'm on the edge of vomiting. Nothing sounds good to me, but I'm diabetic and should probably eat something. I took 2 tests this morning and the second one was about 75 points higher (285). I don't understand why the blood sugar should rise if I'm not eating. How do I get my blood sugar to settle down?

During times of stress and illness blood sugar rises drastically.. You probably have an infection, and thats whats making it rise.. You should really try and eat small meals and take your insulin as directed.. if its not possible you will need to call the dr. and get an anti nausea med.. hope this helps and that you feel better.. if you have any other ?s you can pm me..
