79 year old diabetic woman goes to sleep and screams, yells and flails about. She's fell out of bed at least once and can be quite violent. It lasts for hours and her skin is clammy. It is impossible to wake her during this. Her sugar usually reads in the 80's. She's waiting on the sleep apnea mask. Will that help her? 1/2 a sleeping pill helps a little. She is tired in the morning and can't remember a thing. Does anyone know what this is?

hi mom of 5,

Whereas, I am not a doctor, this sounds like it could be seizure related. Please take her to the doctor and have them do an MRI to see if their is any abnormal brain malfunctions going on. If the MRI show normal activity, have a sleep study done on her, to say the least what you have described is abnormal.

Good Luck,
