My father has been a patient of diabetes for some years now. He uses human insulin which he injects in his body. A few days ago, I mistakenly pinched my finger by the needle of that injection and it resulted in a very slight bleeding. What are the chances that the disease could have been transmitted to me through such a contact? What steps should I take next?

YOU CANNOT CATCH DIABETES FROM ANYONE!! It is an autoimmune disease where your body attacks itself. Again - you CANNOT catch it! As a mother of a child with diabetes, it annoys me that these false ideas are so common out there - sorry if I sound angry!
