I've suffered from unknown fatigue for quite some time now. Maybe a few years. I don't know where it comes from. I get plenty of sleep and even then, I wake up exhausted. Though I do have random bursts of energy which can last for about an hour or two to maybe just a few minutes. I am a little over weight. covermouth And my uncle has Diabetes. So you can't really say that it runs in the family but one family member having it is enough. I have been diagnosed with Anemia before. At one point, my iron was so low, I was put on slow release iron tablets. Now, from my last check up, it shows my iron is low but not as much as before. So I guess I can rule out the possiblity my Anemia has gotten worse.
I don't know what else it could be. I guess I will have to break down and just go to the doctor. :/
What do ya'll think?

Are you constantly thirsty and going to the bathroom frequently? Have you lost weight in the past couple months/years? Has your eyesight decreased significantly in the past couple years?

Fatigue alone isn't a symptom- usually it is accompanied by other things (some of which I listed above). I would chalk it to anemia. Did you discuss this with the doc when you went in to get your iron levels checked?

When was your last check up for anemia?

If fatigue is your main complaint then this could be one of a hundred conditions that all share fatigue as a symptom. Unfortunately it's one of those common symptoms that doesn't tell you much on it's own.

Yes you should go to your doctor :p He can do a full blood screening and go from there. It could be your anemia is causing it.

And of course as Sydney said, there's quite a few tell tale signs of diabetes.

Well I have noticed I use the bathroom a little more frequently then I use to. Not a big change, I just thought it was because I was getting a little older. But heck, that could because I'm drinking more water these days then I use to.
I do feel constantly thirsty nowadays but that could be caused by he hot weather.
I'm going to make an appointment with my doctor as soon as my new innsurance kicks in, which should be in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the advice you guys. :]

Did you find out anything? I was diagnosed in August 08. No one in my family has it and I didn't even recognize my symptoms seemed like diabetes. Just thought I was having too many problems all at once! But once I started insulin I have felt a LOT better Smile It's difficult but worth it for sure. I hope you didn't find out that you have it...but if so I'd love to hear from you.
