Q: Diabetes and vitamin B1 alternatives

How can you get both a water soluble Thiamine and Benfotiamine a fat soluable from the same vitamin? Does anyone know the process? The reason I ask is Benfotiamine is supposed to help neuropothy.
Please let me know if you can

Why do you want to make Thiamine and Benfotiamine fat-soluble?
Do you think that Thiamine won't act if is water soluble?
