Q: Development of Lymphoma symptoms ?

In just the last week I have had terrible nightsweats, and noticed a large lump on the side of my neck.. It doesn't really hurt, and it doesn't move. I'm just wondering how long it takes for symptoms of lymphoma to develope.. I don't want to panic. I looked up "lump on neck" and this jumped out at me. I am tired all the time, have been for years, but other than that and some headaches I generally feel well. I would think I'm just fighting some infection... but I would like another's perspective. Thank you!

While your symptoms could be due to benign causes, based upon your description, it would be prudent for you to see an ENT surgeon or general surgeon. You might need to undergo either a needle biopsy or an excisional biopsy of this mass, to confirm or exclude the diagnosis of lymphoma. Please don't delay further evaluation of this mass.
