I had an open appendectomy 2 weeks ago,i have developed a lump under one side of my scar which is painfull. is this normal?

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

The description of the lump, indicates the possibility of a small abscess or a infected scar at the site of a surgery.

In case the pain is very severe, or associated with presence of discharge at the site, you might consult your treating surgeon for a examination of your wound and appropriate treatment as needed.
