Q: Determining the nature of a pelvic lump

I have a lump right nxt to my pubic bone and pelvic area it comes and goes when i start my 28 day cycle two weeks before it's time for me to come on the lump comes the the first day of my mentrual it goes away what could this be and the lump when pressed on hurts but it goes away like it was never there please help very worried

It is hard to say what the lump near the pubic bone and pelvic area is without seeing it. The ranges in which the size of the lump varies might have been helpful. It is possible that the lump might be an enlarged lymph node. The enlarged lymph node might be caused by inflammation in the vicinity. However, it cannot explain how the change in size correlates with the female sex hormones fluctuations.


You might want to visit your family doctor to have the lump seen and to have a physical examination. S/He might refer you to a dermatologist for an additional examination.
