I had a cold for over a month. I went to the doctor's and she gave me Nasal Spray told me to take tylenol and Sudafed. I coughed a few times to get up some phlem out. When my nose is not running the phlem is running to the back of my throat. I am drinking water and hot Tea. I had the nurse flush out my ears because the debox was not working. The cold is still here. What am I doing wrong?

Ear, Nose and Throat Disorders Answer A5195

Current medical treatment: SudaFED nasal de-congestion and sinus relief, Robitussun, Cold-EEZE Debrox ear wax removal and Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray

None of the medications you take are antibiotics. The inflammation of the sinus or the throat might have been caused by a virus, but a bacteria infection followed. You might want to make a swab from your nose and throat with an antibiogram in a microbiology laboratory to see if any bacteria is present. When the results are ready, your doctor might prescribe antibiotics according to the results of the antibiogram.
