Q: Describing and indicating painful areas by children

why would a toddler have sharp shock like pains that last a few seconds on the back of his head on the right side a little bit away from his ear? what are some conditions that cause this? any suggestions on what to do? thanks

Toddlers often have difficulties describing and localizing pain. If this complaint continues I recommend you have him evaluated by his doctor. He should at least have his ears, neck, and lymph nodes checked.
