Snapping isn't allways a bad thing (And I am most definately not recommending it). Wink

I snapped once and ended up in a syke ward and a bill from my parents for a new cupboard door. Plus had to get my work-support-cell phone replaced...

Hmmm...now that I think of it, I was never billed for the earial shaped hole in the wall 0.o.

But the point being, if you don't talk about your problems (Like I did), you can be proned to doing silly and/or even life-threatening things.

Talk to us...let us be your sound board.

Your mind can only contain so much frustration untill it loses control Wink

i can't even decide which problem is driving my crazy right now...my health is slipping, my education went down the toilet, my family life should be on a reality show like intervention or somehting, my friends...ugh, don't get me started...and my love life? well lets just say she's giving me heart problems from the stress....and the heart problems are conflicting with my work...

everyone thinks im the nicest sweetest guy, but on the inside im just bitter and full of hate...i can't think of one thing that makes me want to keep living except for the fact if i was gone it would destroy my mom...i havent had a good feeling in years, i can't remeber the last time i smiled except for when somethings funny...i'm not about to try therapy or counselling for the reasons that there isn't a way i can solve my problems by trying to analyze myself, i already know what all my problems are and why they started...medicine is out cus because i dont want to just numb the pain and my mom has been on meds for 20 years and it only made things alot worse...everything seems to go wrong like tonight my mom forgot to pick my up for work cus she went to sleep so i froze my ass of for 40 minutes out in the cold...

hmm just had to get that off my chest before i exploded...

Shake, youre always welcome to vent on here if it's going to prevent a snap.

I think your arguments against medication or therapy are a bit flawed. Sometimes analyzing yourself in ways you haven't before is very healthy. It can be very painful, but it can help you in so many ways. As for the medication argument: Everyone responds differently to medication. There are a huge variety of them out there, and sometimes, with patience, you'll find the right one. It doesn't numb the pain. Seriously... I speak from experience. The pain is still there. Medication just opens the window in the stuffy, hot, uncomfortable room that is depression. It's like a breath of fresh air. It allows you to see things in ways you didn't think you could actually see them... it makes many of your issues so much easier to deal with. I highly, highly recommend giving it a try. I know it's scary. It scared the crap out of me for two years. I was in serious denial about the benefits of any type of treatment (medical or not) because I didn't think that A) I was worth it or B) it wasn't worth getting my hopes up. Depression tricks you into thinking these things. It's time to defeat it.

Please, PM me or any one else if you need to! We're here for you!

therapy at least for the moment is out for a few reasons i dont want to get into...

i turn 18 in 2 weeks and ive been told i can look for help without having to get a parent involved so maybe ill try out meds when i can do it by myself...i'm just skeptical about meds because ive seen more peoples lives get worse from ADs then get better

Yeah I know how you feel about meds. I have yet to try something that works as far as medication. I have had stuff make me way worse and some that I couldn't tell I was taking. I don't have time to try anything mostly though because it isn't safe for babies, and that's pretty much my life for the past 9 years.

So you don't live with your parents or are they not being supportive? My mom was never supportive. Didn't even want to pay the 5 bucks of co-pay that it was to take me to the doctor for minor problems or the car accident I was in. My father died when I was 12. So it was kind of both for me. I'm sure my dad would have helped me out if he was there. Maybe you could just hold out a little longer...the 2 weeks...and then you will be an adult and be able to get help? Are you in school that maybe there is a counselor who can you can talk to?

I think it's terrible that there aren't more available sources for teens. No one should ever have to live in your situation alone like you are. At least you can come here and know that you can get some sort of support.

Maybe you want to try looking into Eastern medicine? Some people find that helpful. I want to try that too. I'm going to have to find something safer really quick, so if you find something really good, don't hesitate to give it some reviews on the forum Smile
