i keep getting this crackling,fizzing sound,no pain,in back of my head,neck,throat where the throat meets the nasal passage .i've had this for 2 yrs now it drives me nuts that why i'm depressed.it wakes me at night and you hear it when you walk, you hear it at a distance not right in the ear but loud enough to affect your life.ent did a 24hr ph negative for acid,gastro doc did a scope nothing found,could this be nerve damage it also seems to be connected to my stomach because when it growls it can trigger it sometimes.i did suffer major anxiety attacks 2 yrs ago where the blood would rush to my head this all started shortly after those episodes.i hope you can help me with some advice on this because doctors here never heared of this and don't know where to send me,they seem to brush me off.this is not something you make up out of the blue, my life is really affected by this, please give me some good advice on what this could be and what to do about this i'm desperate thanks a million

If the ENT and gastro reports are okay, the next step is consulting a neurologist. If the neurologist does not confirm nerve damage (neuropathy), the only possibility left is hypochondria.


Hypochondria is a kind of anxiety disorder where the patient thinks and feels that he has a disease even if there is nothing wrong with him.


Your medical history (depression and anxiety attacks) tells me that hypochondria is very likely, in your case.
