Depression Answer A8439
Hello,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out.

Your concern is regarding the anxiety and depression that you are having. From your symptoms, it is not clear whether you are suffering from depression or generalized anxiety disorder. While depression is a mental disorder characterized by a pervasive low mood, loss of interest in usual activities and diminished ability to experience pleasure, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is an anxiety disorder characterized by chronic anxiety and exaggerated worry and tension, even when there is little or nothing to provoke it.

I suggest that you consult a psychiatrist as a psychological session and physical examination are needed to confirm the diagnosis and treatment is diagnosis specific.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are advised to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
