can depression be healed by gambling?... well the controlled one of course

my mom was in a bad marriage so she went to Atlantic City New Jersey. They have a boardwalk, beach, and casinos. It took her a matter of minutes to win money, and break even. some days she loose money. so i think it added to her depression.
