I started taking Cerazette on 5th April, which was 1 day before my period was due. On the 9th April but i started to bleed, the whole reason i was on the pill was to stop my bleed not for birth control as we also use condoms. I had taken 6 pills when my partner and i decided to stick with condoms, my period finished on the 14th April, but im still getting slight cramps (had them for over 3 weeks) and now i feel slightly nauseaus, my concentration is so bad and i feel like i want to cry all the time. My partner works away, and its so hard being away from him. Has anyone else had this when coming off the pill and is it normal?

Birth control pills can cause depression as a side effect but in your case you quit the pills so it is hard to believe that taking off the pills caused depressive mood. Depression can be due to many other reasons including separation from your partner. Have you ever been depressed before this event with the birth control pills?

I have had depression before, when i was taking Microgynon. My GP made me stop taking it after almost a month, as i was getting anxiety issues also. I tend to get sad when im due my period. Should i continue taking the Cerazette and let the symptoms settle down or try to find another pill?

You can try to stand using this type of pills for one cycle at least. Then you will compare the side effects (including depression) with the side effects from the past when used different type of pills.
