I know antibiotics can create issues when on birth control pills, but what about Depo injections? I have read conflicting information about whether there is an effect on Depo.

I was on antibiotics for 14 days about 4-6 weeks ago & am now experiencing breast tenderness, cramps, fatigue, and random nausea. I'm also coming off the shot (my next is due July 9th, but I am stopping them entirely), so I'm not sure if these could be a side effect of the shot working its way out of my system?

I thought antibiotics affected all forms of hormonal birth control the same but I have since learned that it is different for hormonal birth control that bypasses the digestive system. So, the Depo shot's effectiveness is not lessened by taking antibiotics.
