Ok, this is going to drag on for a bit. I'm 17 and finished school last June or July, I can't remember. For a good two years while I was at school I really fancied this girl in my English class. I'm a really quiet, shy person when it comes to talking to people I don't know and so couldn't pick up the courage to even talk to her. In the last couple of months of school I got moved to the table infront of her for always messing around with my mate and eventually we started talking a bit. The last day of school eventually came and I was pretty frustrated for not even implying I was interested in her by now. The day ended and everybody was getting pictures and having their shirts signed and having a laugh, and I saw this girl and went over to her. She immediately wrapped her arms around me and wouldn't let go. She told me that shes really going to miss me and wishes she could get to know me. She didn't live too far away at this time. I gave her my number and she took mine and I went home to get ready for a party. I sent her a text while I was at the party asking if I could meet her the day after and she said yeah. While I was spending that day with her, I realised she wasn't just a pretty face but that she had an amazing personality. She made me laugh and I felt I could tell her anything. We ended up meeting each other every day for like a month and every day I just wanted to ask her out, but daren't. One night we went out for a bit and came back to mine and had a bit to drink. We ended up in bed but we didnt do anything but kiss. I was petrified all night because of how much I like her. Anyway, not long after, she told me she was moving to Selby. That really upset me as I knew that my chance had pretty much gone. I live in Leeds - Wakefield area so Selby isn't all that far away but I just knew there wasn't much chance for me now. She moved and for about the last 10 month, I've barely seen her. We keep in touch with each other, but we aren't as close as we used to be. When she first moved I did tell her how much I like her and she didnt seem too happy. She told me I was her best friend, but I didn't understand why we had gone from been so close to been so distant over the space of a couple of weeks. Do you think its because of us living in different places or could it be something else? What should I do or say as I still really like her and would do anything for her? (BTW for those who don't know, Leeds to Selby is about a 40 minute drive, so its not exactly far.)
