hello.
I have been looking for a second opinion concerning my problem. My dentist injured my sinus while removing an (obviously) upper tooth. I immediately noticed the odour of disinfectant in my nose and when ever I use a mouth wash as a disinfectant it comes out of my nose, how charming. I occasionally get toothache where I no longer have a tooth, usually when exercising pressure on the sinus by whistling or similar. My specialist has advised me to get an operation, which involves a full narcosis.
So my question: is there a way of encouraging this injury to heal by itself? Magic spells, anyone?
If I decide to have the operation, what will be the consequences?
What could happen if I decide to live with it? I can ill afford to be off work for weeks, and I have seen horror stories on the net about the post-operative problems involved following operations on the sinus.
Thanks for any advice - david
