Hello and welcome to e health forum. ‎

For your information, bleeding tendency and symptoms occur only when the platelet count is very ‎low. The normal platelet count is 1.5 - 4.5 lakhs per cmm. ‎

There are no specific ways to increase platelet counts, other than platelet transfusions. But such ‎transfusions are done only when the platelet counts are very low (less than 20,000 platelets /cmm). ‎

Once a person recovers from dengue, with time, the bone marrow expands , and increases the ‎production of platelets, in required amounts. But in some cases, the counts will still be lower, due to ‎anti-platelet antibodies, which may destroy the newly produced platelets. ‎

Over time, as complete recovery occurs, your platelet count will normalize. ‎Specific treatment of the underlying condition, that is causing the platelet destruction or reduced production might be the best way to help in resolution of the underlying condition.

You may consult with your treating doctor for proper treatment and advice.
