I'm taking Yaz for birth control. I wanted to delay my period for one day (not skip it altogether). So, I took one extra active pill from an extra pill pack that I have lying around for emergencies. Then, I took all of my placebo pills, and am about to start a new, full pack of Yaz. Am I still protected against pregnancy?

Yes, (of course) you are. The only time you will not be protected are when you skip a pill or pills and when you do not restart after the inactive week.

Did taking the extra active pill work for delaying your period that day?
