Absence of regular period is an expected temporary side effect after stop taking any type of combined contraceptive pills. Body needs some time (few months) to establish a normal function of the axis hypothalamus-pituitary-ovaries which is responsible for regular ovulations and menstruations.

in details with my last question
Hello Doc,
I am still delayed and had a little panic( I am not yet ready to pregnant again)

My last day of my period was 8August without contraception I have had sexual contact on 15 and 17 at the same month.

Is it possible that I am pregnant?
When is the appropriate time to take pregnancy test?

Thank you so much.

Lenette

You can perform a pregnancy test right after your period becomes late.

Calendar contraception method is less effective than using contraceptive pills. "Persona"-contraception method is more effective than the calendar-method but still less effective than the contraceptive pills.

Whenever someone's period is late the first thing we think about is possible pregnancy. That is because every pregnancy is menifested with period absence (amenorrhea). But not every period absence is result of pregnacy. There are other conditions that can also cause amenorrhea. One of these conditions is quiting the contraceptive pills.
