Q: Delayed period after stopping birth control?

I know I need to just take a pregnancy test but in the mean time I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I finished taking a whole set of the pills and had the placebo week as usual and then decided that I just wasn't going to take the pill anymore, because I wasn't sexually active.

The last day of my period (while I was on the pill) was the March 28th and I hadn't been sexually active for about 2 weeks before that cycle ended. Now since I am not taking birth control I am pretty late on getting my period. I know there can be many causes for not getting my period, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this much of a delay (two weeks) on their period after stopping birth control.

Thanks so much for your help.

This is completely normal. Quitting birth control can delay your period. For some women it can take a couple of months for their cycle to regulate.
