i have a query regarding delayed menstruation. I am almost 10 days delayed on my mense cylcle now and its getting me worried. I have done a pregnancy test today and it came up negative and i did it last week aswell and came up negative too. My last due was around first week of May 2009. I have this gut feeling that it was delayed only because i took an emergency pill on april 2009 where the pharmacists predicted my next cycle to be around april 28. obviously it was a little late for month of may but i stil did have a mentraution for month of may. Do u thnk the delay was caused by natural causes? like general delay and not by pregnanyc? my partner and i always use protection and always check it after inetrcourse and has always worked.
The symptoms of bloating, tummy pains, and breast feeling sore were started on first week of may and its gone now. but my period still hasnt arrived.

Answers will be very much appreciated.Thank you.

I think the delay was caused by the emergency contraception.

Well, hormonal birth control can alter your periods and Plan B/ emergency contraception is just a megadose of birth control pills so they can alter it even more. As long as you took it as directed, I have no reason to believe you could be pregnant.

Hi u have been really helpful .yea i took the pill straight away infront of the pharmacists, and it wasnt even like the condom ripped or anythng extreme, my partner accdntally spilt it stupidly on my legs and the main reason i took it was for my own satisfaction and precaution.im going to do another test in couple of days if the mnse cycle still hasnt started,,. if it comes negative for the third time, do you think its really negative? by then it would have been 13th day delayed.

Many Many thanks..
