I was recently in a bad car accident and sustained a moderate traumatic brain injury. I have been worried about having hiv from my girlfriend. She unfortunately died in the accident. She said she was clean and I feal terrible for doubting her. I had a hiv test done at the 3 month mark which was negative. I asked my rehab doc if they saw anything alarming in my bloodwork done for the brain injury and he said no and if they did he would of done more tests. I have read a lot of stuff saying things can delay seroconversion of hiv. Does anyone know if a traumatic brain injury can delay hiv seroconversion?

I don't think so.I think you are safe from HIV.If you cant stop worrying about it then have a blood test one more time and then put it to rest and focus on your rehab.I am very sorry to hear about the accident.
