Q: Delayed ejaculation and condom use
asked by: DoctorQuestion on April 22nd, 2009
Am I doin well in bed?
My bf & i are mature enough to get involve in premarital sex... but it makes me wonder why i cant seem to aroused him that much, well he gets erection but does not ejaculates during the intercourse especially when were using protection, and i needed to do him orally after or help him masturbate just to make him come, but sometimes this too doesnt help and we retire from it. He says its painful sometimes when i hold it or it gets him tired we doing it, he had much of that during his early years or had done masturbating earlier. But, when we do it without the protection, he reaches orgasm faster before i'm done with it, "pre ejaculation"? so how is this? it has not affected our relationship, just wanted to know if this is normal, and sometimes i get to wonder if im doing well enough to make him happy too...

What you described is considered completely normal. The normal irritation of the penile mucosa needed for the erection and ejaculation might be affected when using a condom. The penile mucosa might not be irritated enough, so it might take additional time for an ejaculation. Also, if the intercourse extends too long and your partner is under stress that he is already late for ejaculation, it might additionally worsen the situation.

What you are doing is completely okay. When having intercourse with a condom, you might have longer foreplay in order to make him more aroused before the penetration and thus shorten the time needed for ejaculation.
